The protocol actively monitors the network for failures and automatically switches traffic to an alternative path if a fault occurs, typically within milliseconds.


IGMP v1/v2/v3 Snooping
Comxus switch comes equipped with IGMP Snooping support for versions 1, 2, and 3, ensuring intelligent multicast traffic handling across your network. By listening to IGMP exchanges between hosts and routers, the switch forwards multicast streams only to ports with active subscribers—eliminating unnecessary traffic and conserving bandwidth. With IGMPv1 and v2, you get fast join and leave functionality, while IGMPv3 adds advanced source filtering for more granular control.
Dynamic ARP Binding
Comxus 8 Port Industrial-Grade PoE Switch supports Dynamic ARP Binding, a critical security feature designed to prevent IP spoofing and ARP-based attacks within your network. It works by dynamically learning and binding IP addresses to corresponding MAC addresses and specific ports based on DHCP snooping entries.
